Meet Your Hijama Therapist

Hijama therapist for women in North Jersey

Hi, I’m Nour. I’m a pharmacist and certified hijama therapist, and I’m also a cancer survivor. My recovery shaped the way I practice. I take a root cause approach and support the body with lifestyle shifts and natural remedies that align with your physiology.

Many clients come in a little nervous, especially for their first session. That’s normal. My job is to help you feel comfortable, heard, and taken care of from the moment you walk in. We talk through what you have been experiencing, I tailor the session to your needs, and you leave with clear aftercare and simple guidance. People often leave feeling lighter, deeply relaxed, and pleasantly surprised by how much they needed it..

  • “If there is something excellent to be used as a remedy, then it is Hijama Cupping”

    Prophet Muhammad (SAW)

  • “I did not pass by an angel from the angels on the night journey except that they all said to me; ‘upon you is Hijama cupping, O Muhammad’ ”

    Prophet Muhammad (SAW)

  • “The best treatment is Hijama; it removes blood, lightens the back & sharpens the eyesight.”

    Prophet Muhammad (SAW)

  • “If there is anything good in the medicines with which you treat yourselves, it is in the incision of the Hijama therapist, or a drink of honey or cauterization with fire, but I do not like to be cauterized.”

    Prophet Muhammad (SAW)

What is Hijama? A Traditional Practice for Modern Health

Hijama is an ancient healing technique that has been used in many cultures for centuries. This practice involves creating suction on the skin using disposable cups, helping to draw out waste from the body.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Hijama is a Sunnah-based therapy that removes toxins, stagnated blood, and inflammation through suction cups and tiny skin incisions. It supports physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

  • Clients report:

    • Pain relief (back, neck, joints, migraines)

    • Improved energy & sleep

    • Hormonal balance

    • Detox & digestive support

    • Deep sense of calm and reset

    Results vary per person.

  • Yes — when done by a trained practitioner using clean, sterile tools and proper technique. I follow strict hygiene and tailor each session to your needs.

  • Sensation varies. Most describe it as mild scratches or pressure. It’s rarely painful and often relaxing.

  • Clients commonly come in for:

    • Chronic pain or fatigue

    • Migraines & brain fog

    • PMS, hormonal issues

    • Digestive imbalances

    • Emotional stagnation

    • Detox support and preventative wellness

Hijama is not a replacement for medical treatment. Please consult your physician.

  • Hijama is not recommended if you:

    • Are pregnant

    • Have uncontrolled bleeding/clotting disorders

    • Are severely anemic

    • Are extremely weak or fasting heavily

    • Eat a light meal 2–3 hours before your appointment, then no food until after your session

    • Hydrate well

    • Avoid caffeine right before

    • Shower beforehand (you’ll need to wait 24 hours after session to shower again)

    • Wear loose, comfortable clothing

  • You may feel lighter, more relaxed, or a little tired. Mild soreness or bruising at the cup sites is normal and fades within a few days. Some people notice better sleep, digestion, or emotional release.

You can go about your day normally afterward — just listen to your body. If you feel more tired than usual, try to rest and take it easy to support the detox process.

  • Therapeutically, I recommend starting with monthly sessions. Healing happens in layers — in the first few sessions, we often release surface-level stagnation and inflammation. As your body begins to clear, we’re able to go deeper and support more long-term healing.

What comes out during each session helps guide the process. I’ll let you know how many sessions you may need and how often, depending on your body’s response, your lifestyle, and your health goals. Over time, as things improve, we can begin to space sessions out.

To start, you will need three sessions at minimum.

  • Yes — the Prophet ﷺ recommended Hijama on the 17th, 19th, and 21st of the Islamic lunar month. These days carry spiritual and physical benefits, and I open extra spots during this time.

That said, Hijama is a Sunnah in itself, and if you're in pain or need support, you don’t have to wait. Therapeutic sessions can be done anytime based on your needs.

  • A $25 deposit is required to book your session and is non-refundable.

If you need to reschedule, please notify me at least 7 days in advance so we can transfer your deposit to a new date.
Rescheduling within 7 days of your appointment will require booking a new session with a new deposit.

This policy allows me to honor my time and other clients on the waitlist. Thank you for understanding and respecting this healing space.
