Hijama is not a replacement for medical treatment. Please consult your physician.

  • Hijama is not recommended if you:

    • Are pregnant

    • Have uncontrolled bleeding/clotting disorders

    • Are severely anemic

    • Are extremely weak or fasting heavily

    • Eat a light meal 2–3 hours before your appointment, then no food until after your session

    • Hydrate well

    • Avoid caffeine right before

    • Shower beforehand (you’ll need to wait 24 hours after session to shower again)

    • Wear loose, comfortable clothing

  • You may feel lighter, more relaxed, or a little tired. Mild soreness or bruising at the cup sites is normal and fades within a few days. Some people notice better sleep, digestion, or emotional release.

You can go about your day normally afterward — just listen to your body. If you feel more tired than usual, try to rest and take it easy to support the detox process.

  • Therapeutically, I recommend starting with monthly sessions. Healing happens in layers — in the first few sessions, we often release surface-level stagnation and inflammation. As your body begins to clear, we’re able to go deeper and support more long-term healing.

What comes out during each session helps guide the process. I’ll let you know how many sessions you may need and how often, depending on your body’s response, your lifestyle, and your health goals. Over time, as things improve, we can begin to space sessions out.

To start, you will need three sessions at minimum.

  • A $25 deposit is required to book your session and is non-refundable.

If you need to reschedule, please notify me at least 7 days in advance so we can transfer your deposit to a new date.
Rescheduling within 7 days of your appointment will require booking a new session with a new deposit.

This policy allows me to honor my time and other clients on the waitlist. Thank you for understanding and respecting this healing space.

  • Yes — the Prophet ﷺ recommended Hijama on the 17th, 19th, and 21st of the Islamic lunar month. These days carry spiritual and physical benefits, and I open extra spots during this time.

That said, Hijama is a Sunnah in itself, and if you're in pain or need support, you don’t have to wait. Therapeutic sessions can be done anytime based on your needs.
